Podcast features safety tips for women

A new podcast developed by Mississippi State's University Health Services provides tips for identifying and preventing sexual assault.

Produced with assistance from the campus Center for Teaching and Learning, the six-minute audio answers questions such as "What is sexual assault?" "What can you do to reduce your risk?" and "What steps should you take if assaulted?"

It is available online.

"We were looking for ways to raise awareness and provide information to as many students as possible," said JuLeigh Baker, health and wellness educator.

Units collaborating in the broad-based education effort were Health and Wellness Education, Sexual Assault Services, Student Counseling Services, and the John C. Longest Student Health Center. Together, the four units make up University Health Services.
