STARKVILLE, Miss.--An internationally popular Australian band specializing in children's entertainment will perform Feb. 25 at Mississippi State University.
Appearing for the first time in the state, "The Wiggles" will be featured in a 2 p.m. concert at Humphrey Coliseum. The four-member musical group and the Wiggly Dancers will be accompanied by supporting characters "Captain Feathersword," "Dorothy the Dinosaur," "Henry the Octopus," and "Wags the Dog."
Tickets--which range from $18-$35 each--for the 2007 Racing to the Rainbow Live! Tour go on sale Friday [Jan. 12] at all Ticket King outlets, as well as the MSU Athletic Ticket Office and online at www.ticketweb.com. Those at the $35 level include location in the "hot potato seats" and a special giveaway program.
Wherever seated, audience members will be encouraged to participate in the interactive show.
Performing at more than 200 venues annually around the world, The Wiggles have been dubbed "the world's No. 1 preschool band." In addition to being regularly featured on the Disney Channel, they have sold more than 22 million videos in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
