Mississippi State officials will make two major announcements Tuesday [Nov. 21] concerning projects that promise to have strong economic impacts on the Golden Triangle region.
The university's vice president for research and economic development, Colin Scanes, will join other principal participants for the separate announcements taking place at different locations and at different times.
The first announcement concerns the planned development of an aerospace engineering center of excellence. Involving representatives of MSU's department of aerospace engineering, it will take place at 10 a.m. in the second-floor observation area of the Golden Triangle Regional Airport.
The second presentation at 1 p.m. will feature representatives of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership and the university's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems. It concerns the planned location of a new company in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park. The event will be held at the CAVS facility, which is located on the park's north side.
We hope you can make plans to cover both of these important events.
