To help alleviate parking and traffic congestion and promote safety as we welcome thousands of visitors to campus on Thursday, August 31, for the first game of the 2006 football season, all classes at the Starkville campus scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. or later will be canceled for the remainder of the day.
University offices will remain open as regularly scheduled, although departments are encouraged to use flex time arrangements and personal leave to help reduce the number of vehicles on campus as football game traffic is arriving.
Kickoff for the MSU vs. South Carolina football game is set for 7 p.m., and football parking and tailgating areas will be open to fans beginning five hours before game time, as provided for by the special events parking policy (online at msuinfo.ur.msstate.edu/parking/rules.html).
Please help us welcome our alumni and other visitors with the best possible impression of Mississippi State as we support our Bulldogs.
