Student Counseling Services is sponsoring a program featuring Dr. Rob Fazio, co-founder of Hold the Door for Others (www.holdthedoor.com), a nonprofit organization he started after his father, Ronald C. Fazio, died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Fazio's program will begin at 6:30 p.m., today (Aug. 29), in the Bost Extension Center auditorium.
Fazio's father, like thousands of other civilians, saved many lives while losing his own. He was seen by his colleagues and strangers literally holding the door for others so they could escape. Fazio will share how people can grow and thrive through loss and adversity.
Prior to evening address, Fazio will conduct a workshop for faculty and staff on "Progressive Leadership in Times of Crisis." The workshop will be held in the Dunn Conference Room (Room 235), McCain Hall, at 1 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
