STARKVILLE, Miss.--Area soccer enthusiasts will be able to view the grand finals of the World Cup during a free Sunday, July 9 broadcast at Mississippi State University's Humphrey Coliseum.
The two-hour event beginning at 1 p.m. is jointly sponsored by the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center and the university's student recreation facility, the Sanderson Center.
"The games have been enthusiastically watched by international students from more than 70 countries, and this will be an exciting conclusion," said Shaz Akram, international student program coordinator at the Holmes Center.
"Students from various countries have coordinated wearing national T-shirts and displaying their respective flags. We invite all who are interested to join the fun."
