Angelos Pangratis, deputy head of the European Union Commission's delegation to the United States, will address Jackson's Executive Lecture Forum during an Aug. 10 noon program at the University Club.
"The Future of E.U.-U.S. Economic and Political Relationships" will be the topic of his remarks.
The program and Pangratis' visit to Mississippi are organized by the Janos Radvanyi Chair in International Security Studies at Mississippi State University. He will arrive in Jackson on the 9th to begin two days of meeting with state and city leaders.
Until last year, the Greek native was the E.U.'s ambassador to Argentina. A member of the commission's diplomatic corps since the late 1980s, he holds advanced degrees from the University of Paris.
