STARKVILLE, Miss.--Members of the Kappa Alpha Order at Mississippi State will sponsor a blood drive Wednesday and Thursday [April 26 and 27] on campus.

Open to all, the Mississippi Blood Services-affiliated benefit will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day at the social fraternity's residence across from the University Amphitheater.

"We are seeking the support of the student body and others in the university and Starkville communities to help reach MBS's goal of 50 pints a day," said chapter president Hunter Lipscomb. "Personally, I would like to exceed their expectation and raise around 70 pints each day."

Participants will receive T-shirts and refreshments. If more than 40 pints are received per day, names of donors also will be placed in competition for an iPod audio player.

While there will be no set appointments, Lipscomb said donors interested in reserving specific times may do so by telephoning in advance.

Lipscomb or KA philanthropy chair Hanson Walker may be reached at (662) 325-6935.
