STARKVILLE, Miss.--Arkansas native Trenton Lee Stewart, whose debut novel "Flood Summer" was published last year, reads from his work Thursday [April 20] at Mississippi State.
The 7 p.m. public program in the Rogers Auditorium of McCool Hall is sponsored by the university's English department and its Robert Holland Creative Writing Reading Series.
Stewart's fiction has appeared in the Georgia Review, Shenandoah, Virginia Quarterly, and New England Review, among others.
His work also is cited among the "Distinguished Stories of 2004" in the Best American Short Stories series.
Currently residing in Cincinnati, Ohio, Stewart has completed a children's book titled "The Mysterious Benedict Society" that is scheduled for release in 2007.
