University of Tennessee Athletics Director Mike Hamilton visits with Mississippi State students Wednesday [Jan. 25], starting at 3:30 p.m., in the Joe Frank Sanderson Recreation Center conference room. The center is located just east of Humphrey Coliseum.

Hamilton, who has served in the Tennessee post for the past 11 years, will discuss issues in college athletics and advise students on how to break into the sports industry.

Hamilton is the third visitor for the 2005-06 SPORTS College Speaker Series, sponsored by the student organization Sports' Professional Organization for Research, Training and Study (SPORTS). The series is coordinated by graduate students in the sport administration program and Robert Zullo, an assistant professor of kinesiology.

Mitch Barnhart, athletics director at the University of Kentucky, is the next scheduled speaker. He will be featured Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the same location. [The time will be announced later.]

Former college football coach Bill Curry, now with ESPN, and CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson spoke during the fall series.
