STARKVILLE, Miss.--Construction will begin early next month on a 52,000 square-foot addition to McCool Hall at Mississippi State.
Home of the College of Business and Industry, the facility will be fenced this week [Dec. 20] to enclose the site. During the approximately 16 months of construction, travel and parking around the central-campus building will be interrupted.
Access to parking immediately adjacent to McCool will be temporarily unavailable, although the lot will continue to be accessible to MSU shuttle bus traffic.
"We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of those who will be inconvenienced during this time of construction and renovation," said Jim Jones, MSU executive director of facilities.
The addition, as well as improvements that include renovation of existing ceilings and floors, is being funded by a private donation.
