STARKVILLE, Miss.--The World Neighbors Association of Mississippi State is seeking new members interested in promoting better cross-cultural communication among the university and area communities.

As part of that effort, the organization is sponsoring a free 6:30-8:30 p.m. pizza party Nov. 17 in the fourth-floor meeting room of the Dave Swalm Chemical Engineering Building.

WNA annually sponsors a Thanksgiving dinner for area international students, faculty and their families. It also is a primary organizer of the popular International Festival held on campus each April.

"We want to begin a conversation about how World Neighbors can work with other international organizations to further cross-cultural understanding and friendships," said member Sandra Woolfolk, an MSU graduate student from Starkville.

Woolfolk said persons planning to attend are asked to contact WNA president Diana Bridges by Nov. 14 so that a sufficient quantity of food can be available when the gathering begins.

Bridges may be reached at (662) 323-2171 or dadair6@netscape.net.
