STARKVILLE, Miss.--A Sept. 29 concert at Mississippi State will feature faculty artists performing compositions from around the world.

The 7:30 p.m. presentation in McComas Hall theater is the first of six in the 2005-06 Lyceum Faculty Chamber Series. General admission tickets are $5 at the door.

Lyceum Series season ticket holders are admitted free, as are MSU students with identification.

Heading the performance are woodwind instructor Sheri Falcone and pianist Roseangela Y. Sebba, both of the music education faculty. They will be assisted by colleagues Robert Damm, Lana Johns, Jackie Edwards-Henry, Richard Human, Elaine Peterson, Ed Swan, and Cliff Taylor.

Falcone, Peterson and Johns also will perform as the Magnolia Trio, a newly formed group that recently was featured at the International Double Reed Society in Austin, Texas.

Sebba teaches piano, theory and ear training, as well as maintaining an active concert schedule. She frequently performs in her native Brazil, where in 1990 she was recognized as the "Most Talented and Musical" in the National Piano Competition. She also has presented recitals in Mexico, Costa Rica and throughout the U.S.

Falcone teaches clarinet, saxophone, and woodwind and instrumental technique. She directs the clarinet and saxophone ensembles and is a member of the Starkville Symphony Orchestra. In addition to Mississippi, she has been a featured clinician, conductor, adjudicator and soloist at contests and festivals in Delaware, New York and South Carolina.
