SPECIAL NOTICE: Shirley Caesar concert location changed

The previously announced location for a Saturday [April 16] concert by gospel great Shirley Caesar has been changed.

The 6 p.m. event will be held in Lee Hall auditorium.

Advance tickets--$15 general; $10 for MSU students with identification--remain at the MSU Athletic Ticket Office on campus; BeBop Records in Starkville; Bryan's Records and Pets in Columbus; and BancorpSouth Center and Ticket Alley, both in Tupelo. Tickets at the door will be $20 for adults; $10 for children 5-10 years of age.

Initially scheduled in Humphrey Coliseum, the event is sponsored by MSU's Black Voices and Music Maker Productions.

Since her debut in the 1960s, Caesar has recorded more than 40 albums and compact discs. The North Carolina native is known widely as "the first lady of gospel music."
