April exhibition to highlight works of Mississippi State seniors

STARKVILLE, Miss.--The works of eight graduating seniors at Mississippi State will be represented in a month-long public artistic exhibition opening April 4 at the university.

"Thesis Pieces" will be on display through the 29th in the Department of Art Gallery, located in the basement of McComas Hall. A 5:30-7:30 p.m. public reception on the 7th, also in the gallery, will introduce the artists and their works.

Students with work on display include Joshua A. "Josh" Abrams of Edwards, Trent M. Falgoust of Metairie, La., Timmell L. Graham of Jackson, Renee N. LaBruyere of Meridian, Lana R. Lancaster of Pheba, Bradley S. "Brad" Luke of Preston, Daniel C. Shumaker of Ecru, and Jessica L. Weimer of Horn Lake.

The bachelor's of fine arts exhibition features photography, sculpture, painting, and drawing, which are among emphasis areas in the art department. The gallery presentation is among requirements for graduation from the College of Architecture, Art and Design.

Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 p.m.
