For the 32nd consecutive year, Mississippi State is welcoming the Christmas season with a two-day arts and crafts fair in the Colvard Union.
The university's 2004 Holiday Bazaar will be held Nov. 29 and 30 on all three floors of the central campus building. More than 100 vendors from Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee will be offering for sale a variety of jewelry, pottery, ornaments, candles, and a host of other items.
Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the public event takes place 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on the 29th; 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on the 30th.
"Because of limited parking in the central campus area, we are encouraging visitors to leave their vehicles in the lots adjacent to Humphrey Coliseum and ride the free campus shuttles to the Colvard Union," said CAB adviser Kelly Nesbit. "Since the buses arrive at each stop every eight minutes between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., they should provide welcome relief from the hassle of locating 'visitor' parking spaces."
Nesbit, assistant union director, said bus stands for the "Maroon" and "Green" routes include locations just off the coliseum's east-side parking lots and at the union's west-side entrance.
