Evergreen wreaths and other fresh-greenery decorations will be part of an annual holiday sale Dec. 3 at Mississippi State.
Beginning at 8 a.m., members of the university's American Institute of Floral Designers student chapter will offer varying-size wreaths, mixed fir garlands and a limited number of dried citrus decorations and cranberry garlands.
Open to all, the sale will be held at the University Greenhouses, which are located behind Dorman Hall, home of the plant and soil sciences department. Proceeds fund student attendance at a variety of professional meetings.
The sale coincides with the Horticulture Club's 2004 Holiday Open House that will feature a variety of poinsettias and novelty plants, as well as a hands-on workshop.
Prices for evergreen items are:
--20-inch diameter mixed evergreen wreath with pinecones, $25.
--28-inch diameter mixed evergreen wreath with pinecones, $40.
--Mixed cedar and Douglas fir roping, $5 a yard.
