Musical entertainment and open microphone readings will highlight a Wednesday [Nov. 3] fund-raising effort in support of Mississippi State's Jabberwock Review literary journal.
To begin at 8 p.m. at Roxie's Square Table Spoon restaurant on University Drive, the public program will feature performances by Marion Montgomery and Waco Dead. The open mike segment follows their appearances.
Housed in the English department, the semi-annual journal provides readers with a collection of art, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Artists and writers both on and off campus are regular contributors.
In addition to the English department, Jabberwock is sponsored by the Office of the Provost, College of Arts and Sciences and University Honors Program.
Copies of the journal will be on sale during the evening.
