New traffic rules will take effect Saturday, Aug. 28, at the heavily traveled Five Points intersection on campus. Once roadway markings and traffic light adjustments are completed on Saturday, northbound traffic on Stone Blvd. will be able to turn left onto Creelman Street and turn left again onto Bully Blvd., heading west toward Starkville.
Traffic entering the intersection on Bully Blvd. from the west will now use two lanes only, rather than three as in the past, to accommodate the new oncoming traffic.
Creelman Street and the northbound right turn lane of Stone Blvd. will remain closed for another week, after which Creelman will reopen to two-way traffic.
