Brazilian music to highlight MSU concert

Mississippi State faculty and student artists will be featured in a Monday [April 26] concert of all-Brazilian music.

The 7:30 p.m. public performance in Bettersworth Auditorium of Giles Hall includes composers ranging from the internationally acclaimed Heitor Villa-Lobos to the contemporary composer Ronaldo Miranda.

Among scheduled performers are Robert Damm, percussion; Edwin Daniel, guitar; Jackie Edwards-Henry, piano; Sheri Falcone, soprano saxophone; Paul Ceraci, trumpet; Michael Michel, bass; Michael Patilla, guitar; David Resse, piano; Rosangela Sebba, piano; and Linda Karen Smith, conductor of the student Women's Chorale.

The concert is organized by Sebba, a Brazilian native.
