MSU endowment honorees William and Jo Ann Clark

A scholarship endowment to the College of Business and Industry at Mississippi State is honoring a Pearl couple.

The anonymous gift is recognizing the personal and career achievements of William L. and Jo Ann Clark. Lifelong residents of the Rankin County city, they are retirees, respectively, of the Entergy Corp. and Pearl Public School System.

The Clarks remain actively involved in McLaurin Heights United Methodist Church and in their community. Married for 50 years, they have three children and seven grandchildren.

Tasha E. Key of Pontotoc received the first $1,000 Clark Scholarship last year to complete her undergraduate study in December. A magna cum laude graduate in general business administration and the daughter of Eula Key, she has begun work on a master's degree in business administration at MSU.

Clark Scholars must be full-time majors pursuing degrees in finance, business administration, marketing, or accounting. Applicants also must have demonstrated leadership skills and a record of community involvement, among other criteria.

The Clark Endowed Scholarship Fund may be increased through additional contributions. For more information, telephone Bo Hemphill of the MSU Foundation at (662) 325-3686.
