Persons seeking the latest in accurate and reliable information about the severe acute respiratory syndrome affecting many parts of the globe now may consult an online research guide recently established by Mississippi State.

"The SARS issue is so new that there are not a lot of print resources available," said reference librarian and associate professor Deborah Lee of the university's Mitchell Memorial Library.

Available at http://nt.library.msstate.edu/resources/guides/, the guide contains links to nearly 20 Web sites, including the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization and Mississippi State Department of Health, among others. Updates will be added as new information sources become available.

Lee said SARS is the latest topic to be added to online one-stop references compiled by the MSU Libraries. The more than 15 other research guides cover such diverse topics as the Iraqi conflict, film studies and chemistry.
