The MSU Foundation is accepting donations to aid Mississippi State students who lost their possessions in an April 26 apartment complex fire.
Contributions to aid more than 40 students displaced from the privately owned University Commons adjacent to campus may be designated for the Harold B. Hall Scholarship Fund for needy students, which is named for a former longtime dean of students and administered by the university's Division of Student Affairs.
Checks should be made payable to the MSU Foundation.
In addition to providing cost-free housing for the remainder of the semester to students who request it, the university is joining with the American Red Cross to distribute donated clothing and personal items. The Red Cross also provided emergency $100 vouchers to persons affected by the fire.
Contributions to the Harold B. Hall Scholarship Fund may be mailed to the MSU Foundation in care of P.O. Box 6149, Mississippi State, MS 39762. For additional information, telephone (662) 325-3611.
