Barbara Ball Ward of Cordova, Tenn., is receiving the Outstanding Young Alumna Award of the Mississippi State University Alumni Association. An accounting graduate and Starkville native, she is associated with the professional firm of Cannon and Co. CPA in Memphis. Ward received bachelor's and master's degrees in 1992 and 1993, respectively. In the MSU Alumni Association's Memphis area chapter, she has held most major leadership positions, including director, secretary, treasurer, and executive committee member. She also has been a leader in the chapter's membership and major events efforts.
