A leading national authority on courtroom testimony will be featured Feb. 7 at a public program at Mississippi State University.

Stanley L. Brodsky, author of "Testifying in Court," "The Expert Expert Witness" and eight other books, begins his presentation at noon in the Dorman Hall auditorium. His campus appearance is sponsored by the psychology department's 2002-03 Colloquium Series.

A psychology professor, Brodsky directs the University of Alabama's witness research laboratory. His remarks at MSU will focus on defendant and expert witness preparation and related research.

In 1996, Brodsky received the Distinguished Contribution Award for Outstanding Achievement in Forensic Psychology from the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. In addition to faculty duties, he maintains an independent practice in forensic psychology and frequently presents workshops and lectures about that topic.

While on the Starkville campus, he also will meet with MSU students interested in careers and graduate studies in forensic psychology.

For more information on the Brodsky Lecture, telephone the psychology department at (662) 325-3202.
