Mississippi State is offering this fall a series of personal enrichment courses ranging from home computing basics to holiday cooking.
Sponsored by the university's Division of Continuing Education, the learning opportunities reflect specific interests expressed by area residents, said coordinator Michelle Johnston.
"We have reviewed popular programs offered in the past and added new courses to create an eclectic mix," Johnston said. "We continue to be open to suggestions about course topics so that we can respond quickly to the needs and desires of the community."
In addition to home computing and holiday cooking, the offerings include:
--Wines of the world,
--Holiday ceramics,
--Jewelry making,
--Beginning guitar, and
--Piano.
Johnston said the personal enrichment classes are "an important way for Mississippi State to interact with the community while allowing residents to enjoy their time while they learn."
