Mississippi State's fall weekend program for prospective students is expected to attract more than 4,000 regional high school and community college students and their parents.
"Discovery: MSU" will take place 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 2 on the University Drill Field. If television coverage of the home football game with the University of Kentucky is announced, registration for the annual information-sharing program will begin approximately four hours prior to the new kickoff time and conclude about a half hour before the game begins.
Sponsored by the Office of Enrollment Services, "Discovery" traditionally features some 75 exhibits and displays prepared by academic and student-support departments. Snack, soft drink and MSU food product booths also will be available to participants.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the MSU Stage Band, Black Voices and other groups.
"Our faculty, staff and students always have worked very hard to make 'Discovery' a colorful, exciting and informative event," said enrollment services director John Dickerson. "The rewards of their outstanding efforts can be seen in the quality of new students who choose Mississippi State."
