A simple public ceremony Wednesday night [Sept. 11] will mark the first anniversary remembrance by Mississippi State of lives lost and injured in the terrorists' attacks on America.
A candlelight service sponsored by the university's Student Association gets under way at 9 p.m. on the Drill Field in front of the Swalm School of Chemical Engineering.
Brief remarks will be made by MSU Interim President Charles Lee, SA President Parker Wiseman of Starkville and others.
The program concludes with a period of silence and the playing of "Taps."
