Mississippi State University again is offering its annual series of Mississippi and Tennessee seminars to update farmers and small business owners on current tax issues.
Each of four sessions from early November to mid-December will explain recent tax rulings and legislation, update significant new developments in federal taxation and provide a comprehensive review of 2002 federal tax matters.
Organized by the College of Business and Industry's Division of Business Services, the daylong sessions are led by MSU accounting professors Danny Hollingsworth and Edd [cq] Milam.
Seminar dates and locations include:
Nov. 6 and 7, Memphis Marriott Hotel, 2625 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Oct. 9 is the registration deadline.
Nov. 21 and 22, Jackson Hilton Hotel, 1001 East County Line Road. Oct. 11 is the registration deadline.
Dec. 9 and 10, Ewing Hall at Delta State University in Cleveland. Oct. 16 is the registration deadline.
Dec. 16 and 17, Gulfport's Grand Casino Hotel. Oct. 18 is the registration deadline.
A $205 registration fee covers materials, instructions and refreshments. No telephone registrations will be accepted.
For participating certified public accountants, each seminar will qualify for 16 hours of continuing professional education credit.
