MSU libraries join national agricultural research network

Contact: Maridith Geuder

The Mississippi State University library system is a new member of a national research and education network devoted to applied agriculture.

The land-grant institution's library recently affiliated with the United States Agricultural Information Network, a cooperative of individuals and institutions that shares a wide variety of information related to agriculture and information sciences.

Formed in 1988, USAIN provides a major resource for member schools to maintain their leadership role in helping shape American agriculture policies. Food, human ecology, natural resources, and rural sociology are among its specific focus areas.

MSU joins other land-grant institutions stretching from Clemson, S.C., to Berkeley, Calif.
