Lunch and an exchange of ideas will be on the menu next week when the MSU Libraries inaugurate "A Lunch with the Dean."
On March 27, about a dozen students interested in sharing their views of library programs and resources will join Dean Frances Coleman for the noon-1p.m. get-together.
March 25 is the deadline to request a seat. To sign up, contact associate dean Susanna J. Turner at (662) 325-8391 or sturner@library.msstate.edu.
"We're interested in learning more about the students' 'ideal' library so that we can make the library user-friendly and responsive to needs," Turner said. Any library function is a potential topic for discussion, she added.
Turner said the luncheon is part of a new outreach program that also includes an annual graduate student fair, presentations to academic departments and a variety of educational workshops.
"We welcome all ideas and look forward to productive future sessions with faculty members as well," Turner said.
