Mississippi State again will be host for the annual community Martin Luther King Day Unity Breakfast.
The Monday [Jan. 21] public program begins at 7:30 a.m. at the university's Bost Extension Center auditorium. Admission is free.
Last year, some 400 university, Starkville and Oktibbeha County residents took part in the local observance. The event coincides with the national holiday honoring the slain American civil rights leader.
MSU, like other public institutions in the state, will be closed that day.
Interim President Charles Lee and university student leaders, along with the MSU Black Voices Gospel Choir, will be part of this year's program.
