A Mississippi State graduate student from DeLand, Fla., is being honored by a university women's organization.
Patricia G. Dillon is receiving a $500 scholarship from the Faculty and Professional Women's Association. The organization annually recognizes outstanding students for academic achievement.
Dillon, a doctoral degree candidate in history, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a master's from the University of Central Florida.
A former adjunct professor of history at UCF and teaching assistant at MSU, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gaddis of DeLand.
