With just over 100 days until a new century begins, copies of Mississippi State's 2000 pictorial calendar are hot off the press and available for sale.

The 12-by-18-inch hanging wall unit features campus scenes by award-winning university photographers Fred Faulk and Russ Houston. The new Joe Frank Sanderson Center, Humphrey Coliseum, Bully XVIII mascot, historic Lee Hall, and the Famous Maroon Band are among the full-color images in the 14-month daily register.

Along with major holidays, academic and special campus events are noted in this latest production of the university's Office of Development.

"Our award-winning calendars have become a tradition for Mississippi State alumni and supporters," said Frank A. Shannon III, executive director of development. "Calendar sales have increased annually since this project began in 1997, and we expect our 2000 version of the calendar to be a special keepsake as we enter the 21st century."

Selling for $10.95 each, the calendars may be purchased in one of several ways, including telephoning the development office at (662) 325-3410, at 1-877-MSSTATE (toll-free), or by writing in care of P.O. Box 6149, Mississippi State, MS 39762-6149.

Mail orders should include an additional $1.95 for the shipping and handling of one calendar and 45 cents for each additional copy. Mississippi residents must add 7 percent sales tax. Checks should be made payable to the Mississippi State University Foundation.

Order forms also are included in the most recent issue of Mississippi State Alumnus magazine.

Credit card orders also may be made over the Internet by visiting the MSU website at http://www.msstate.edu, then clicking on "Alumni and Friends."

For Bulldog fans attending any of the seven 1999 home football games, calendars will be available at the Butler-Williams Alumni Center and at booths inside Scott Field, which is next door to the center. Bookstores in Starkville, Jackson and other areas around the state are expected to again offer the calendars.
