For the third consecutive year, Mississippi State's business teacher education honor society is ranked among the top 10 in the nation.
The university's chapter of Pi Omega Pi recently earned ninth place during competition in Chicago with universities around the United States. Rankings are based on national, community and local projects undertaken by the local organizations.
"This ranking recognizes the hard work and talents of very deserving students," said faculty adviser Connie M. Forde, a professor of technology and education.
Founded in 1923 at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, Pi Omega Pi is among 60 members of the National Association of College Honor Societies.
Chartered in 1939, the MSU chapter is among the oldest honor societies on campus.
