More than 100 vendors have enrolled so far to take part Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in Mississippi State University's l998 Holiday Bazaar.
Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the Colvard Union event brings together the work of craftspersons and artisans from Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Sales begin at 8 a.m. each day, concluding at 9 p.m. on the 30th and 6 p.m. on the 1st.
"As every year, we are planning for attendance by thousands of students and area residents," said assistant union director Paula Raffo. "There will be a great variety of merchandise and many new vendors this year."
Because of limited parking in the central campus area, Raffo said visitors are being encouraged to park in lots adjacent to Humphrey Coliseum and ride the free shuttle buses to the Colvard Union.
"The Maroon Route has stops on the northeast side of the coliseum and at the west-side door of the union," she said. "The shuttles run every seven minutes from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m."
