Award-winning children's books are the subject of a display through Oct. 30 at Mississippi State University's Mitchell Memorial Library.
Books from the library's juvenile books collections will be on display in the fourth-floor reading room. Many have won the American Library Association's Newbery Award and Caldecott medals for children's literature or its Coretta Scott King Award, presented to African-American authors and illustrators.
Also on display are children's books from the Mississippi collection, featuring books by Mississippi authors, books set in or about Mississippi, and books printed in Mississippi.
A "check-it-out" table features a changing display of readable books for children.
The library's collection of juvenile books primarily is a collection of children's literature to support teaching in education and child development classes, but many may also be checked out.
