Ronny G. Parham, state commissioner of banking and consumer finance, speaks Friday [Oct. 10] at Mississippi State University.
Sponsored by the College of Business and Industry, the public program begins at 10 a.m. in the Rogers Auditorium of McCool Hall.
Parham's address is part of the college's 1997-98 Leo Seal Executive Speaker Series.
As head of banking and consumer finance, the Hamilton native heads the department responsible for executing all laws regulating corporations that carry on banking business in Mississippi.
A 1964 general business administration graduate of Mississippi State, Parham previously was assistant regional director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. He also is a graduate of the Bank Administration Institute at the University of Wisconsin.
