Peers Assisting With Students (PAWS) Training Workshop

August 03, 2016

About this event

This workshop is designed to equip mentors for Mississippi State's Peers Assisting With Students (PAWS) Program with knowledge of campus resources for fostering academic excellence. The PAWS Program focuses on student success by assisting freshman and transfer students in making a successful academic and social transition to the university by offering opportunities for building personal connections with faculty, staff and peers. Peer mentors are a select group of students who seek to establish a mentor/mentee relationship with students via various programs and purposeful contact. Each mentor contributes to the academic and personal success of students by providing diverse, interest-focused programming. Click the "Link" below for more information about the PAWS Program or contact Dinesha Green at 662-325-2033 or dgreen@saffairs.msstate.edu to register for the training.
