About this event
Hill’s Pet Nutrition and the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA), in association with the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2019’s new fitVET initiative, are encouraging participation in Hill's Annual Homeward Bound 5K and Dog Walk. Designed to help raise funds and bring awareness to the Homeward Bound Project of Mississippi, the program addresses the discrepancy between high levels of shelter animals available in the Southeast and the high demand of shelter animals in the Northeast by fostering adoptable dogs and cats before sending them north to their forever home. These animals are neutered/spayed and given vaccinations before being available for adoption. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Homeward Bound Project of Mississippi. Registration is $20, and all participants who sign up prior to Sept. 5 will receive a free T-shirt! Registration will be available up until the morning of the race, and T-shirts will be available for purchase as well. Click the "Link" below for more information and to register. We look forward to seeing you!
