Darwin Week 2016: Opening Reception for "Cargo for Conservation: Impacts of the Illegal Wildlife Trade"

February 09, 2016 - 4:00 pm

About this event

Join us for an opening reception celebrating the “Cargo for Conversation: Impacts of the Illegal Wildlife Trade” exhibit. On display in the university's McComas Hall Art Gallery Tuesday-Thursday [Feb. 9-11], the exhibit features posters and photographic creations by art students who used items confiscated in the illegal wildlife trade. The reception is one of many events being held during Mississippi State’s fourth annual Darwin Week, a celebration of the life and work of English naturalist and geologist Charles Darwin (1809-82). In addition to the university's Department of Art, the reception is being co-sponsored by the geosciences and biological sciences departments.
