In celebration of Family Volunteer Day, Volunteer Starkville and the Maroon Volunteer Center (mvc.msstate.edu) are partnering with the Society of St. Andrew to host a Sweet Potato Drop Saturday [Nov. 21] from 9 a.m.-noon on the MSU campus. Nearly 100 volunteers of all ages will be needed to help bag more than 25,000 lbs. of sweet potatoes, which will benefit food pantries in the local community.
