About this event
Internationally recognized -- and self-taught -- travel photographer Gary Arndt will speak Nov. 18 at Mississippi State. Free to all, his presentation begins at 6 p.m. in historic Lee Hall's Bettersworth Auditorium. Having traveled to every continent more than 175 countries and territories around the world, Arndt will share his traveling experience and the importance of learning about other cultures. Arndt’s campus visit is sponsored by MSU Globetrotters, a club working to support the university’s international student body and increase overall participation in study-abroad programs. His presentation is one of many events being sponsored by the Richard E. Holmes Cultural Diversity Center and International Institute in celebration of worldwide International Education Week. IEW at MSU provides members of the campus and surrounding communities with various opportunities to interact with people of every nationality and develop a broader understanding of world cultures and languages. It also promotes international travel and education among students.
