About this event

Join MSU voice lecturer Jeanette Fontaine and piano instructor and departmental accompanist Karen Murphy for their "Spectres, Spirits and Spooks" recital. Free and open to all, the recital focuses on vocal repertoire that features ghostly or spectral images, making it a perfect event for October! The program will include Theodore Chanler's "Eight Epitaphs;" Johannes Brahms' "Fünf Ophelia-Lieder," or "Five Ophelia Songs;" and Modest Mussorgsky's "Pesni i plaski smerti," or "Songs and Dances of Death" (sung in Russian).
