Japanese Tea Ceremony Workshop--Experienced

September 29, 2015 - 3:00 pm

About this event

MSU Japan Outreach Coordinator Chieko Iwata will teach participants about the manners of a guest, the proper way to drink tea, as well as how to make green tea. Participants whose personal schedules might involve time restrictions are encouraged to contact Iwata to discuss their situations. The Japan Outreach Program is a collaboration among MSU’s School of Human Sciences and the New York-based Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership and Laurasian Institution in Seattle, Washington. It seeks to promote awareness and appreciation of the island nation’s culture through exchanges at the K-higher education student levels, as well as with community organizations and the general public.
