Creating a Successful Data Management Plan

September 16, 2015 - 10:00 am

About this event

An increasing number of external funding agencies are asking for Data Management Plans (DMP) with grant applications. Do you need a DMP? Do you know what it is, and why you should need one? What’s your plan for managing the data from your current and proposed research projects? Join us for a data management planning workshop designed to help researchers understand what is required to write management plans for funding applications and understand the general benefit for managing research data and results. Examples of data management plans will be provided, as will information about how the MSU institutional repository can help. Representatives from MSU Libraries will describe the process and resources available to all researchers preparing their DMPs.
