Ms. Morris-Grant is an entrepreneur, a nationally recognized speaker on topics related to violence against women, an author, and recipient of the National Urban Fellows. She is a social and political activist for women\'s and children\'s safety against violence. Ms. Morris-Grant dedicates much of her time and efforts to statewide domestic violence and faith-based organizations. She is a mentor for the Women of Color Network and was a board member of the New York State Coalition against Domestic Violence for eight years, and served as the vice president.
