Mississippi State University\'s Spring Garden Day will be from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on May 17. The annual event will take place at the Hiram D. Palmertree North Mississippi Research and Extension Center on Highway 145 South in Verona.
Featured topics and speakers include: Captivating Landscape Combinations for Color and Style by Norman Winter; Solutions to Your Tomato Problems by Rick Snyder; Beautiful and Bizarre Bromeliads by Michael Seal; and Pruning Techniques for Crape Myrtles and Other Landscape Abuses by Jim Tidwell.
Other points of interest include the Magnolia Botanical Gardens, turf and ornamental plantings, the plant doctor, plant and insect identification, educational displays, plant vendors and garden supply vendors.
